POPSIran calls for Muslims Nations to Unite to Receive Mahdi Which implicitly means the wish wreak havok, blood, and mayhem in the world. "Since the armed forces are commanded by the Supreme Leader, they are thus obeying the orders of the awaited Mahdi," Saeedi said, adding "the Revolutionary Guards and the armed forces in Iran hold religious authority to prepare for the appearance of the Mahdi." The Mahdi is believed by Muslims to be arriving before Judgment Day to rid the world of injustice. Although present in both major Islamic schools of thought, the Mahdi is more prominent in the Shiite doctrine than the Sunni one."

POPSThe Machine, Propaganda Coordination Obama is coordinating questions with his brown-shirt bloggers. Pitney asked: “Under which conditions would you accept the election of Ahmadinejad, and if you do accept it without any significant changes in the conditions there, isn't that a betrayal of the " of what the demonstrators there are working towards?” Since Obama is the first president in office in the modern media era, he has the priviledge of having a reporters from an unabashedly liberal website covering his press conferences, but one would think they would draw the line at coordinating questions. Meanwhile, Obama was dismissive of one of Jake Tapper's tough questions on healthcare.

POPSThe Little President From article: "Nicolas Sarkozy upheld our real values. He called the pictures of women and teenagers being beaten by Basij thugs on motorcycles "brutal" and "totally disproportionate." "The ruling power claims to have won the elections ... if that were true, we must ask why they find it necessary to imprison their opponents and repress them with such violence." "Chances are that behind the scenes the mullahs are promising Obama a glorious peace agreement that will allow him to parade his gargantuan ego around the world one more time. They are Persian rug sellers over there, who know all about hard bargaining. They've got his number: He's a pushover. Obama will trade personal glory against the freedom of Iran's people any day of the week."

POPSObama on Iran When people are slaughtered in the streets you actually have the gall to say "we don't know how this is going to play out"? 'We don't know how this is going to play out"?? What an absolutley meaningless comment that one could say about just about anything.

POPSHow to get 25,663 twitter followers in 4 days Dupe the lame chatter box loons into believing you differ ideologically from the fascist dictatorship, when in reality you do not. Oh well, here's hoping that the movement in Iran is more than about a disputed election between two similar-minded terrorists.

POPSHead up your rear political idiocy, via kmcolo @ clipmarks The fact is: The Islamo-fascist walls in Iran are being shaken at their foundations and the reason is Bush and his aggressive strategy to change the political environment of the Middle East. The strategy has worked, and is continuing to work. And, just like the Iron Curtain tumbled as a result of Reagan's actions, we now see the fruits of Bush's actions shaking the totalitarian grounds of Iran. This may not be when everything shakes out for Iran, but it could be. At the very least, it is a sign of things to come.

POPSPolitical Posturing on Iran, via Masbury @ Clipmarks One of the most definitive moments in recent history and all the political hacks of the Left can do is play defensive on Obama’s ignorant stance. Is it true that overt American involvement could have negative results? Yes, that is true. It does not mean, do nothing. The experts say there is much we can do. The policies over the past 8 years are bearing fruit. We are witnessing the demise of the fascist status quo. Yet those who encourage fascism in our own culture aren’t the least bit bothered by the fascism in others. If we miss the opportunity to let the Iranians know that we support them, then we may not have the opportunity for generations. It is BEYOND disgusting to take this issue and tell the world and world leaders, ’shut the hell up”.Our reticence could result in a massacre of the Iranian people.

POPSThe Shot Twittered Around The World The implications of this massacre are yet to be seen. I can only parallel in my mind to America's own history to the "Shot heard 'round the world". Could this be the shot twittered around the world. The seminal moment for liberty in Iran?

POPSHer name was Neda Let it ring loudly. This beautiful young girl took to the street to speak, and was killed for it. I posted the video and I have since made it private because I felt it was a bad choice to clip it. The video is everywhere, though. I hope it will be the case that she did not die in vain. I cannot get the image of her out of my head. God bless her and her family. Pray for them and everyone fighting for the right speak in Iran.

POPSThe Declaration of Dependence, D. Boudreaux "The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works" B.H.O. My jaw dropped when I heard this remark. Mussolini was famous for "making the trains run on time". A government that "works" is not necessarily a good government. The argument can certainly be made that many governments (USSR under Stalin, China, Iraq under Saddam Hussein, Iran, Italy under Mussolini, Germany under Hitler) "worked" better than a Constitutional Republic. This kind of remark would have made wiser generations' ears perk up and gather to depose this leader. This inaugural speech lauded government as a savior, not as the world's most necessary evil. Obama is on the side of government. Government is the enemy and the cause of every single problem we have. A friend of the government is never a friend of the people.

POPSEuropean Ignorance about America "The majority of Britons believe that since the Second World War, the United States has more often sided with non-Muslims than with Muslims. In fact, in 11 out of 12 major conflicts between Muslims and non-Muslims, Muslims and secular forces, or Arabs and non-Arabs, the United States has sided with Muslims and/or Arabs." "But Britons are not the only Europeans who hold unbalanced views of the United States. Take Germans, for example. The majority of them believe that America poses a greater threat to world peace than does Iran. This after the United States helped Germans rebuild their country after World War Two and then provided for their defense during five decades of the Cold War." "according to a recent poll of Berlin youth, only one-third of the city’s 15- to 17-year-old students know who built the Berlin Wall. Almost 14 percent think it was built by the Allies; two percent believe it was built by the United States."

POPSUS Intel: Iranian nuclear strike on U.S. ?
“The only explanation we can find is that Iranians are figuring out how to launch a missile from a ship and get it up to altitude and then detonate it,” “And that’s exactly what you would do if you had a nuclear weapon on a Scud or a Shahab-3, and you wanted to explode it over the US.” "If a crude nuclear weapon were detonated anywhere between 40 kilometers to 400 kilometers above the earth, in a split-second it would generate an electro-magnetic pulse that would cripple military and civilian communications, power, transportation, water, food, and other infrastructure" Asked how many Americans would die if Iran were to launch the EMP attack it appears to be preparing, Graham gave a chilling reply. “You have to go back into the 1800s to look at the size of population” that could survive in a nation deprived of mechanized agriculture, transportation, power, water, and communication. “70 to 90 percent of the population would not be sustainable after this kind of attack”.

POPSObama would still oppose the surge
OK. This clinches it. Obama is utterly incapable of rational leadership. The terrorists were wreaking havoc in Iraq and killing hundreds daily. Now there is relative calm. Iraq is turning around. al Qaeda is out of Iraq. al Qaeda describes the situation as lost and say they can no longer recruit in the region. Iran is no longer having their way with propping up the insurgency. Intelligence tells us we are winning the hearts and minds of the Middle East. We have basically won in Iraq. However, Obama says he would still not support the surge after originally saying prior to the surge that he did not support the surge because it would have the "opposite effect" and increase violence. He is saying now that we should have let the situation in Iraq fester, withdrawn troops, hand the terrorists a victory in Iraq, allow the violence in Iraq to continue and instead concentrate on the few Taliban incapacitated in the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan. What a complete fool!
