POPSHomology Problem The ability for living organisms to adapt to their environment is by far the greatest evidence of design, but I believe common descent is a fraud.I haven't always thought that. I have developed this view over the last few years. It cannot be accidental that information inherent in and projected from the environment should have a necessitated effect on an organism. How can information be transferred from nature to physical being without intelligence pre-existing? What does an eye know about being an eye? What does nature know about developing an eye? These questions are, of course, absurd because chance is a mathematical process, not a creative force.

POPSWhat Earth Day Means To Me - Don Boudreaux
Cont'd "I'm thankful for indoor plumbing. (The anti-polluting properties here are too obvious to spell out. Ditto for disposable diapers -- yet another product for which I'm most grateful.) I'm thankful for the inexpensive soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, dental floss, toilet tissue, and plastic bandages and other first-aid items that make it possible for us to de-pollute our persons regularly. I'm thankful for electronic appliances, such as those that (along with modern detergents - for which I'm also thankful) allow us to clean our used clothing and dirty dishes -- clean these more deeply and more thoroughly than was possible in the past without spending multiples of the time on such tasks that we spend on these tasks today. These appliances enable us to recycle our clothing and our dishes for many reuses. I'm thankful for electricity for making these appliances possible - and for enabling us to light our home without dirty candles, and for enabling us to heat our homes

POPSIs Eco-therapy for you? "Melissa Pickett, an eco-therapist in Santa Fe, N.M., who says she treats dozens of patients a month, said sometimes she has to tell extreme greenies to chill out for their own good. "The global warming craze will cause your clients to go into extremism fueled by fear," she says." "And with eco-therapy around, that extremism can get expensive. Eco-therapy can cost as much as traditional psychotherapy, upwards of $100 an hour. There's a lot of green in being green." "But Pickett said eco-therapy helps those grappling with feelings of helplessness and hopelessness about the environment." "People break down and cry. They develop obsessive-compulsive behavior. They have nightmares," Pickett said. "And these are normally high-functioning people." She pushes her eco-disturbed patients to take shorter showers, turn off lights and computers, consume less, buy less and learn as much as they can about global warming.

POPSUN Downgrades man's impact on climate Sound familiar? This is just the first of the "downgrades". Similar to the past hurricane season, but on a longer timescale. However, the UN is not the worst of the alarmists. The IPCC reports do good science. It is how this science is twisted and abused that is so troublesome.
