POPSAre Earlobe Creases a Sign of Heart Disease? Why a connection between ELC and heart disease? Nobody knows. We continue with our checklist of heart disease signs: Retinopathy. Ring finger length. - A short ring finger in males = lower level of testosterone = higher risk of heart attack early in life. Male pattern baldness - men with frontal baldness were about 9 percent more likely to have heart disease. Those with baldness at the crown (top) of their heads were 23 to 36 percent more likely. Bad breath - Some studies claim people with lots of antibodies due to bum gums have a 50 to 100 percent greater chance of heart disease. Acne - men who had acne as teenagers had a 30 percent lower chance. Green snot - there's a connection between heart disease and green snot. Earwax - Dry earwaxers had a greater risk of arteriosclerosis than wet earwaxers. (Unconfirmed, but if you're going to worry about snot and bad breath, you might as well worry about earwax, too. )

POPSEurope's Weird Ways There are a few more fun things to be done in Europe, at the source. There's tons to do! Here in DK we have something called Sankt Hans Aften where we all head to the beach and build huge bonfires and burn funny effigies of witches on them and then we eat way too much and get way too drunk. It's a lot of fun. .:D Here's the posh song mentioned in the link, we try to sing (a tradition), but we're usually too drunk and it ends up a total travesty. We are just SO cultured here. *Enjoy* .:D "We Love Our Country"

POPSHow Creepy Do You Want It? I love stories like this. :) ...because, well, that's where the action is. That's where we get to touch the void, dance on the edge of perception, realize how little we truly know of anything.

POPSHuman Footprint This is about your life and what it all adds up to. One lifetime. How many apples will you eat? How many words will you speak? How many pints of milk will you consume? If you are an average Brit, (and I assume this goes for pretty much any western society) by the time you reach the age of two years old, you will have generated more CO2, than a Tanzanian does in his entire life time. Wow, eh? If you saved all the farts you ever made and burnt them off all at once, how big a fireball would that make? *LOL* There are some really cool, weird, disgusting and hilarious "averages" and facts in this movie. Pretty thought-provoking. Worth a gander, I reckon.

POPS"Terminator" Prototype Set To Hit Battlefield John Main, chief of DARPA’s exoskeleton program says the project is very much alive and that exoskeletons will be delivered for Army testing in 2008. After 14 companies and universities initially (circa 2001) came up with different designs, they have selected the firm that will build the beast: Sarcos of Salt Lake City in Utah, US. http://www.newscientist.com/blog/technology/2006/10/exoskeleton-update.html There's a video at the site.

POPSClouds of Suspicion When clouds go bad. This basketball-sized cloud floated back and forth across the peak of the roof, changing in shape from a small globular mass to a larger ovoid and finally becoming an abstract, muticurved, dark, vaporous ‘something.'

POPSTransplanted Organs "Remember" Their Donor Where do memories reside? This is so weird! It's actually pretty creepy, I reckon. A 29-year-old lesbian and a fast food junkie received a heart from a 19-year-old woman vegetarian who was "man crazy." The recipient reported after her operation that meat made her sick and she was no longer attracted to women. If fact, she became engaged to marry a man. The whole article is well worth the read.
