Everyone knows that the Saudi Arabia's and the other Gulf States figures are as opaque as they are suspect. And that hundreds of thousands of square miles of the Canadian boreal forest will be turned into a wasteland if these "reserves" are ever to be tapped. What people forget is that the price of oil can never be higher than people can afford to pay which means it is bound to come down as people have to reign in their spending, making exploration and ecocide "uneconomic".
