I think they are maps for space travelers. KIDS OUT OF SCHOOL EARLY, "Kids out of school early" are not smart enough to make these things, of course, many who stayed to the end of the day aren't either. Just once, I would like to see someone get caught doing this. Chestnut ,,So would I. chestnut and wigan: Man, I hate to use wiki as reference material, but I could not find the original article... Gábor Takács and Róbert Dallos, both then 17, were the first people to be legally charged with creating a crop circle. Takács and Dallos, of the St. Stephen Agricultural Technicum, a high school in Hungary specializing in agriculture, created a 36-meter diameter crop circle in a wheat field near Székesfehérvár, 43 miles (69 km) southwest of Budapest, on June 8, 1992. On September 3, they appeared on a Hungarian TV show and exposed the circle as a hoax, showing photos of the field before and after the circle was made. As a result, Aranykalász Co., the owners of the land, sued ... I saw a show on crop circles a while back that made, what I thought to be, a very important distinction between the circles of unknown origin and those made by people. The circles made by people had the stalks broken by the wooden boards used to bend them down, while the circles of unknown origin had their stalks curved downward at ground level with none of the stalks broken. I've not heard any more about this, has anyone else heard about this difference? typwrtperson, Thank you, that was very informative. At least we know one of them was made by humans. Veteran crop circle researcher Colin Andrew estimates that up to 80 percent of them are probably man made), some researchers insist that many formations are not - in fact, cannot be - made by humans. Many researchers say there is compelling proof that the origins of these mysterious formations is unexplained. This page mentions some interesting finds regarding crop circles: altered seeds, cellular changes within the plants, the detection of radioactive isotopes etc. http://paranormal.about.com/library/weekly/aa021802a.htm I love a good mystery. I wish that researchers would start examining each one of these to determine whether or not they are made by humans. I would say that many of those made by humans are very beautiful and could be considered a true art form. Those with documentable changes in the soil and plant structure at the cellular level should be studied more thoroughly. This is a fascinating subject. Great post. Thanks for the link, thisname interesting! You're very welcome, wiganfootie! When I first heard of crop circles, I was very skeptical, but I like to keep an open mind. I'd LOVE it, if there were more to them than just being man made. That would just be too boring, though they're still extremely pretty and clever. — Comment removed by moderator — |
