Your title is backwards---why assume that Humans are the only creatures with real emotional life, anyway?...Elephants, whales, dolphins...all kinds a animals feel just as much as humans...maybe not the arrogance, tho!

Any animal with a large brain is capable of emotion. It is pretty egocentric and ignorant to think animals act like us when it is actually we who are part of nature just like them.

I think this may surprise many people...those who always say "It's just an animal"....or worse a "dumb animal".....I'd rather be in the company of any animal compared to some people I know..
