"We don't tuck tail and run, we don't retreat, we don't surrender". These are all noble codes to live by during a just and legal war. But what do these codes mean if you are involved in an illegal, immoral war for the purpose of gaining access to resources under orders of a lying and manipulative leader? The U.S. citizenry would not think any less of our military if they were to do the right thing and give Iraq back to its rightful owners. Even with these codes we are still viewed as bullies and a demonic occupier. |
