Now you know why sugars are the main ingredient in so many processed food or drinks. Add in caffeine, and you have the basis for almost every 'energy' drink on the market today. Very addictive elixir! Oh exactly! ...and once you're "on it" see what happens when you try to stop cold turkey. It is the #1 secretively addictive ingredient in foods, snacks, and candies. An easy thing to remember also is that when something says "Low Fat" they have upped the sugar. Compare the original with the Low Fat counterpart. Fat doesn't necessarily make people fat. Excess calories in any energy form make people fat and it just so happens that more sugary products than fats or proteins are nutritionally empty; So we eat the sugary candies and in an hour are hungry for *real* food...so we eat the real food in addition.
