Why not?

Let's see why would someone not make a clip with this topic, some people might be offended.

People who have me as a Guide already know that I post topics geared towards generating discussion, both tame and provocative. And, that walking on eggshells about reactions is not my strong point.

I was in the middle of reading my daily news feeds, figured I'd get back to it, then saw it had already been clipped. I saw no reason to duplicate the effort. I did a bunch of other clips anyway - more than I usually do.

You both make excellent clips.

The guy that wrote this article and book knows nothing about the God of the Bible. He places himself in a lofty position of judging God and His word. You may call this an excellent clip. I think it is rubbish.

He studied at Texas Christian University and Princeton. I wasn't concerned about his qualifications. I want to know what gives you the authority to make ex cathedra pronouncements on the god of the bible and who has the right to speak and write about that topic.

If you were not concerned about his qualifications, why are you concerned about mine? Don't trust either one of us and read it for yourself.

His are a matter of record, and I've read two of his other books - enough to give me a reasonable amount of confidence that he knows what he's writing about. As for the current book, I am on the waiting list at the library. However, the author's website has a failry good summary of his thesis. You, on the otherhand, issue the equivalent of fatwas on others and all I know about you are your clips.
